Casper the Friendly Ghost - xx/xx/1974

ERNIE COLON (b. 1931) worked for Harvey Comics for twenty years, drawing RICHIE RICH, CASPER, SPOOKY, HOT STUFF, and many more titles. He also contributed many horror stories to the Warren line, drew for the short lived Atlas Seaboard comics on Tiger Man and Grim Ghost, and later became a freelancer for DC.

This is the original art for one of the two comic strips that were found at the bottom of the two text pages of nearly every issue of the juvenile line of Harvey comics during the 1960s and '70s. This one features Casper the Friendly Ghost in a Cub Scout themed strip which was published in 1974. This art has an image area of 4.75" x 18" with an overall size of 7.25" x 22.5". This piece has a few missing art correction stats, moderate glue staining in the margin areas, and minor edge and corner wear. Otherwise, this piece is in nice solid condition.
