JACK RICKARD (1932-1983) was a prolific cartoonist best known for a long stint on MAD Magazine, as well as providing artwork for many movie posters, including The Pink Panther, Dutchess and the Dirtwater Fox, and more.

Yes, Ben did indeed letter the strip.
Mell Lazarus wrote the strip under the pen name Fulton... that's why you see the cameo by "Miss Peach" characters.
