Blondie - 12/06/1962

PAUL FUNG, JR. (b. 1923) was Chic Young's assistant on Blondie from 1949 to 1964, and he drew the Flash Foley strip in the Blondie comic book.

This is the original daily comic strip art for Blondie, dated 12-6-62. Although signed Chic Young, the artist's failing eyesight had by this time forced him to turn the strip over to his assistant. The art has an image area of 17.5" x 5" and the art is in very good condition with light overall aging and some staining where shading film had previously been affixed.

Blondie - 02/01/1946

CHIC YOUNG (1901 - 1973) created several comic strips including The Affairs of Jane, Dumb Dora, Beautiful Bab, and The Family Foursome, but of course he is internationally known as the creator of Blondie, the long-running strip which he first drew in 1930. Blondie has been adapted to stage, screen, and television, and is still being published today.

This original art for Blondie is dated 2-1-46. The art is in very good condition with moderate overall aging; it has an image area of 17.5" x 5.5 ".

Gassoline Alley - 07/15/1987

JIM SCANCARELLI (b. ?) began assisting Dick Moores on the classic newspaper strip Gasoline Alley in 1979, and took over the strip completely in 1986.

This original art daily comic strip for Gasoline Alley is dated 7-15-87. The image area measures 15.5" x 4.75" and the art is in excellent condition.
